Unique location

Located at the intersection of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Economic Circle and Shanxi-Hebei-Inner Mongolia Economic Circle, it is 120 kilometers away from Beijing and 370 kilometers away from Tianjin Xingang. As one of the main urban areas of Zhangjiakou City, it can play a role in the full range of functions of the city and undertake the transfer of industries from Beijing-Tianjin region.

Transportation Accessibility

National Highways 110 & 207 crisscross in Zhangjiakou. Four expressways including Beijing-Lhasa, Beijing-Urumqi, Beijing-Chongli and Zhangjiakou-Shijiazhuang pass around the Zone. Beijing-Zhangjiakou, Datong-Zhangjiakou and Zhangjiakou-Hohhot High-speed Railways pass through from east to west, enabling Zhangjiakou to enter the golden high-speed rail era. With a number of domestic and international flights, Zhangjiakou Airport makes the High-tech Zone integrated into Beijing 1-hour Economic Circle. It has unique location advantages of “Five minutes” drive to expressways, 10 minutes to the train station, and 15 minutes to the airport".

Scientific Planning

The high-tech zone has a total planned area of 72.69 square kilometers, including a core area of 10.0965 square kilometers. It is the largest project construction platform in Zhangjiakou City and an important carrier to undertake Beijing-Tianjin industrial transfer. According to the high-starting-point planning and high standard construction, the Zone hired Shanghai Tongji Urban Planning and Design Institute and other domestic top design units to work out the master plan, regulatory plan and the EIA Report and industry development planning of the high-tech zone as well.

Complete Infrastructure

A total investment of 2.1 billion yuan has been made on building the Zone’s infrastructure.At present, road, water, electricity, gas, heat, communications and other public utilities are all in place to meet the needs of various enterprises for construction and production.

Industrial Agglomeration

So far, more than 410 enterprises have settled and begun operation in the Zone, with total investment of 53 billion Yuan. In terms of the equipment manufacturing industry, with China Coal, SINOMACH, COFCO and other leading enterprises as the core, a complete advanced mining equipment industry chain has been formed;

Golden Opportunities

As a joint host city for the Winter Olympics 2022 with Beijing, Zhangjiakou City has now emerged on the international scene. The state plan to build national renewable energy demonstration zone will bring golden opportunities to the High-Tech Zone to develop the new energy industry. The coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region has made the high-tech zone a golden land for investment and entrepreneurship. In particular, China grants green channel for IPO of enterprises in the high-tech zone, which provides a broad space for development of the enterprises.
